A Complex Dance: The Story Behind This Work
Currently on display at The Clayton Hotel and Members Club, this piece is a continuation of my ongoing struggle for control in my art. Beneath the final layer, there are several blue paintings, making this the heaviest work I’ve ever created. The finished result is both sporadic and spontaneous, yet it maintains a fluid and harmonious quality.
Up close, the piece reveals its complexity, with sharp points of paint that seem to protect the work while simultaneously inviting viewers to step closer and truly engage with it. From a distance, it appears simple, but as you approach, the intricate details draw you in, asking for a deeper look.
